6 years ago today, Roman Reigns began one of the greatest championship runs in WWE history. ☝️🏆

At Payback 2020, Reigns entered the No Holds Barred Triple Threat late, signed the contract at ringside, and Speared Braun Strowman to defeat Strowman & “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt for the Universal Championship.

The 1,316-day reign of The Tribal Chief had begun. 🔥

32 years ago today, WWE gave us one of the strangest main events in company history:

THE UNDERTAKER vs. THE UNDERTAKER. ⚰️😳

At SummerSlam 1994, Ted DiBiase brought out his own “Undertaker,” while Paul Bearer insisted he had the real Deadman. The two finally collided — and Bearer’s Undertaker won after three Tombstone Piledrivers.

Only in 1994. 😂

37 years ago today, WWE essentially turned a movie villain into a pay-per-view main eventer.

19 years ago today, John Cena and Randy Orton collided one-on-one at a WWE PPV for the first time.

At SummerSlam 2007, Orton hit the RKO and came within inches of ending Cena’s nearly year-long WWE Championship reign — but Cena survived and finished The Legend Killer with an FU to retain. 🏆

The beginning of one of WWE’s defining rivalries. 🔥

25 years ago this week, Kurt Angle delivered one of the funniest paybacks of the Attitude Era.

On Raw on August 20, 2001, during “Stone Cold” Steve Austin Appreciation Night, Angle drove a milk truck into the arena and absolutely drenched Austin and The Alliance with gallons of milk. 😂

The Olympic Milk Bash remains an all-time classic.

At WrestleMania VII in 1991, Randy Savage had just lost his career-ending match to Ultimate Warrior when Sensational Sherri turned on him.

Then Miss Elizabeth jumped the railing, rushed to Savage’s aid, and reunited with the Macho Man as the crowd erupted. ❤️

Savage lifting Elizabeth onto his shoulders while fans openly cried remains one of the most emotional images in WWE history.

🌙 WWE EVENING THROWBACK

🏍️ Remember THIS return?!

At Judgment Day 2000, The Undertaker came roaring back after months away — not as the supernatural Deadman, but as the motorcycle-riding American Badass.

He hit the ring during The Rock vs. Triple H’s 60-minute Iron Man Match and started laying waste to the McMahon-Helmsley Faction. 🔥

One of WWE’s most unforgettable character reinventions.
